CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation specific guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised planning.

Take your knowledge and skills in the aged care industry further with a qualification in CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support. At First Base Training we will prepare you to take on a supervisory role and specialised tasks such as report writing and administering medication. You will learn to support individuals with complex needs and provide services to groups of older people.You do not need a previous qualification or any experience in the field to study this course, although it is helpful. We will support you all the way through your studies from beginning to end. First Base Training will organise your clinical work placement for you at an appropriate aged care centre to ensure you get the skills and practice you need to work as an Aged Care worker.

Course Requirements

To achieve a CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support, a total of 18 units of competency must be completed, 15 core units, plus 3 elective units.

Practical Placement

To achieve competency in this qualification, students are required to undertake 120 hours of supervised Practical Placement. Our Practical Placement Team will arrange a suitable, regulated Aged care service for you which caters for a range of individuals.

Entry Requirements

Individuals will need to complete and clear a Police Check.

FBT’s enrolment process is designed to ensure students enrol into a suitable qualification and includes:

  • A suitability discussion to affirm students’ needs and desired outcomes
  • A Language, Literacy and Numeracy Test (LLN) to ensure students have the basic skills necessary for completion of course
